The purpose of this award is to recognize the best overall tournament of the 2011 year that was held in Texas.
Criteria for Selection: The best tournament of the year should be decided upon based on overall size of the tournament (# of competitors), the level of the competitors, the significance of the tournament, and the overall running of the tournament (i.e. on time, good paced, no major issues, etc.)

Dallas/Fort Worth Texas, October 10, 2011 – Dollamur Sports Surfaces has been selected as the Official Mat of the US Open for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in San Jose, CA. Over 200 mats will be in use for this event. The BJJ US Open is taking place at San Jose State University October 15th and 16th, 2011.
The US Open is one of the largest and most prestigious Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Tournaments in the country. Around 200 of Dollamur’s Swain Series Tatami Style Grappling Mats will be in use for the competitors from around the world as they compete in the US Open.
