Owner of Competitive Edge Karate has over 30 years of experience in martial arts. He reached the rank of black belt at the age of 17 and holds the rank of 6th degree Black Belt in both American Open Style Karate and Tae Kwon Do. Among his other accomplishments Renshi Dabney has achieved an Amateur Featherweight Kickboxing Championship, was chosen as a member on the 1986 United States Karate Team and a Virginia Welterweight Kickboxing Professional Championship. He was named one of the Top Ten (PKC) Kickboxers in the world in 1994 as a Welterweight and the second ranked (WKKO) Super Middleweight. In 2003, he received the Living Legends Award for Sport Karate. Dabney’s competitive fight team has won over fifteen titles in the last five years including four International titles.
David Bluman
A Certified Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor with ECITS, an ACE Certified Personal Trainer & Continuing Education Provider. He is currently finishing a B.S. in Health and Wellness, has 20 years of training experience, worked in the physical therapy field in therapy exercise and specializes in post-rehab training. He is a Flexibility Technician from MPI in Active Isolated Stretching, Level 1 Kettlebells Instructor, holds 2 Black Belts, a teaching certification in the martial arts, and holds a Powerstrike Impact Kickboxing Certification, was certified through Town Sports Internationals Foundations, and holds a Speed and Power Certification from StrengthPro. David is a NY State Licensed Vocational Teacher and developed curriculum and programs for the East Coast Instructor Training School (ECITS) a division of ECA World Fitness.
Southlake Carroll ISD’s Athletic Department
One of the most prestigious athletic programs in the United States, has a new mission; “To build the best youth wrestling & grappling program in the country.” According to director of athletics, Kevin Ozee. “We want to promote all of our sports, including wrestling/grappling, as the best in the nation. We chose to partner with Dollamur because of their first class facility & Instruction that is housed in Southlake, Texas, and for their relationship with USA Wrestling and Grappling. Through Dollamur, in Southlake, we will be working together to promote our youth wrestling/grappling groups on the Intermediate, Jr. High, High School & Senior High levels. In a year or so, we will also be constructing a new wrestling facility at Carroll Senior High and will try to emulate some of the facility design in Dollamur’s beautiful Southlake facility.”
