Pushing the limits of mat design with PGF
Some mats are built for practice.
Some are built for competition.
And some… are built to change the game.
Dollamur has proudly supported the Professional Grappling Association (PGF) in the past, but this year was different. When we spoke to PGF Co-Founder and Chairman, Branden McCaghren, it was clear that PGF Season 8 was going to change the sport of grappling.
We knew the PGF Season 8 mat had to do the same.
Making the Mat
Early in our discussions, Brandon and fellow PGF Co-Founder—not to mention, hard rock juggernaut / Founder and guitarist of the multi-platinum band, Five Finger Death Punch—Zoltan Bathory sent us this incredible rendering for inspiration:

Our team was blown away. Immediately, we knew this was going to be one of the most epic mats we've ever produced!
Next, the production-ready artwork came to life:

What is the PGF?
The PGF isn’t just another grappling tournament—it’s one of the fastest, most action-packed shows on the planet..
Thanks to its one-of-a-kind structure and rule set, PGF puts the spotlight on submissions, strategy, and team dynamics like never before. With its signature draft auction system, the PGF cranks up the intensity—blending brain and brawn in an ultra-competitive showdown that keeps athletes and fans on the edge of their seats.
And it all kicks off with the crowd-favorite Draft Auction. On day one of every season, four team captains go head-to-head in a live bidding war to build their dream squads from pre-qualified elite grapplers.
The result? A wild mix of high-stakes mind games, laugh-out-loud moments, and pure grappling firepower. It’s this blend of strategy, intensity, and fun that makes PGF a truly unforgettable experience for both competitors and fans.
