Another Dollamur mat, another happy Dojo! Englewood Krav Maga has been trusting Dollamur and Swain mats for close to 10 years and was eager to speak with the Dollamur team about their experiences thus far. Check out our quick interview with Co-Owner and Founder, Traci Edwards!
About Englewood Krav Maga
My boyfriend, Juan Berrios, had been studying Krav Maga for 8 years when we met, 10 years ago, and he had also been working as a Personal Trainer for 20 years. In 2010 we signed him up for an instructor course and from there we opened Englewood Krav Maga in May of 2013 - renting out of a dance studio for 4 hours a week for classes. We were originally using customized FLEXI-Connect Martial Arts mats (4 large rolls in blue) and we would unroll them, teach class, clean them, roll them back up and store them until the next class.
We were looking to build up our business a bit and soon made the move to a new location, where we rented for about a year and in 2013 we made the move to a more permanent location, taking our original FLEXI-Connect mats with us. We’ve since transitioned from FLEXI-Connect mats to our new Swain Hybrid Mats for durability and we’re so glad we did! We love the hybrid tatami texture and they’re great for all of the various classes that we currently offer!
The Englewood Krav Maga Team
Juan and I started the business together and have now been in business going on 7 years. I run the office and front desk and Juan teaches the students. Our team consists of our head instructor, Juan Berrios, who has been studying Krav Maga for 19 years under Rhon Mizrachi. Our other team members include Owner, Traci Edwards, who has been studying for 8 years, front desk assistant, Nina Kayzman, for 6 years, youth instructor, Lee Spagnolo, studied for 4 years, associate instructor, Paul Suarez, for 7 years and student teachers, Action Daiz, Sid Contreras and David McFadden - these guys have been students with us for 4 years.
We try to develop our staff from within because they have invested time and understand our mission – which is to support people through their Krav Maga practice.
Dollamur & Englewood Krav Maga
We are currently using Swain Hybrid Mats and FLEXI Wall Pads - both customized with our logo! We started our business with our first set of Dollamur FLEXI-Roll mats in May of 2013 and upgraded our gym in 2018 to Swain Hybrid mats and we absolutely love them both!

I had a very nice experience with Bobby Fehr, he was very nice and professional and helpful answering questions with the layout and design of our mats. The Dollamur team has always been very courteous and offered great customer service. In this day and age, many companies have lost that side of them and it means so much to have the great customer service that our Dollamur family continues to give.

The Future of Englewood Krav Maga
Our future goal is to grow this school constantly and expand our brand nationally, and eventually globally! We also hope to invest in more Dollamur mats and products!
