Elevating The Tactical Games w/ GymTurf
The Tactical Games is a 2-day competition designed to test the skills and readiness of tactical athletes from all backgrounds. Competitions consist of six battles that focus on three components of fitness: endurance, physical strength and stamina. In general, three battles a day, lasting about 12 minutes each, will test all three components.
In early 2025, we connected with the team at The Tactical Games to discuss elevating one of the many grueling challenges athletes face: the weighted sled pull. And when we say weighted, we’re talking serious weight.
Enter GymTurf
We were proud to supply The Tactical Games with eight (8) 25-foot rolls of GymTurf. They used this durable, high-performance turf to create four (4) 50-foot sled tracks, which athletes pulled sleds across. Those sleds were stacked with HEAVY weights, making it an extreme challenge that tested athletes’ strength and endurance.

In addition to GymTurf, our team built custom branded mats for The Tactical Games, featuring each event’s unique branding. These mats took a beating, serving as what was probably the only comfort athletes enjoyed during the competitions
What is The Tactical Games?
The Tactical Games is a one-of-a-kind competition that blends the precision of marksmanship with the grit of fitness. Designed to test strength, endurance, and ability under pressure, each event challenges athletes with a mix of obstacles, heavy carries, and dynamic stages.
The Tactical Games holds competitions year-round, with events occurring throughout the United States. Regional events culminate with the National Championship, which pits the best against the best to find out who the top TTG competitors are in their divisions and to crown the men’s and women’s national champions.
Beyond the competition itself, The Tactical Games is a community built on camaraderie, resilience, and personal growth. Newcomers are encouraged to train not just with their gear, but also to build physical stamina and mental toughness to thrive under stress.
