Gracie Barra - Always Raising the Bar(ra)
Gracie Barra Martial Arts locations have been a valued customer of Dollamur for many years. We’ve been eager to catch up with a few different locations to learn how they’re enjoying their mats and see how they’re businesses are growing. The latest is Rob and Oly Warner of GB Jefferson City and Columbia Locations.
Gracie Barra – Jefferson City and Columbia
Rob and Oly Warner opened up Gracie Barra Columbia in January of 2021. They also own the Jefferson City GB location that opened in the fall of 2017. They offer Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai for ages 4+, full time for 6 days a week and are proud to offer all of their athletes a safe place to practice their disciplines by using Dollamur mats in both of their locations.

At the Jefferson City location they employ a small team, with two full time instructors (blue and purple belt) and one part time program director. Rob Warner is a brown belt and chief instructor at the Jefferson City location. They’ve hired a black belt out of Santa Fe, New Mexico to be head instructor at the new Columbia location. Currently Rob and Oly split their time to manage the two locations - Rob stays to manage JC and Oly runs the Columbia location. With tremendous growth this January they’ve shared that they are excited to be able to expand their team and will be looking to hire soon at both locations!

The Jefferson City location outgrew its space so they moved in the summer of 2020 and have since upgraded to all new 2000+ sq feet of 2 inch Tatami FLEXI-Roll mats. They also have been using the same FLEXI-Roll Tatami 2” mats in the new Columbia location.
We asked if they enjoyed their experience with the Dollamur team and were pleased with their response – “Yes, ordering was super simple. We love the layout they give of the mats. Dollamur stands behind their product. If there were any issues they were able to resolve the issues to keep our school going with the best looking and quality mats.”
COVID-19 at their Gracie Barra Locations
“We never closed our doors thankfully. GB North America was able to provide solutions and advice with online learning/learning from home. We had a short period of online learning and were able to return to limited partner training this past summer. We have changed many of our processes that were common before COVID such as lining up by rank, shaking hands, sparring with partners etc. Kids are still limited to training with 2-3 partners.”
